Hi. I hope I'm in the right place for this. For the last couple of days, it is taking forever to get into the forums. I get onto the main page ok, can dl things fine, and simtv works as usual too. If I try to get into the forums, or change a forum page, it takes nearly 3-4 minutes, if not longer. Perhaps I never noticed before, but when trying to access the forums, it shows an address like 205.252.--etc, as opposed to having any words like simv forums. The main page shows (at the top) an addy of http simviation,com/menu etc, while this page says 250.252.250.etc. Is there some kind of a problem that anyone is aware of, or is something maybe all goofed up on my end? This sure is unusual, and I haven't made any changes to my pc in ages. Anyway, I hope this can be resolved--I miss the forums. Thanks for your time. Rick

Sorry to hear you've had this problem Rick.
I have not heard of any other such problems but I will keep a sharp eye & ear out.
If it happens again you can run a simple test to see if it is the server that is causing the problem
Go to Start - Run & type tracert 205.252.250.26
This will trace the route between your PC and this server. Any '*' or time outs are the problem points.
Thanks

Hi Pete, thanks for the reply. It took me 3 tries, at 5 minutes each to get to the point of being able to reply. Anyway, I did as you sugggested, and got this
1 <1ms <1ms <1ms 192.168.1.254
2* * * request timed out (this was the same, up to #5.)
Does this mean anything? Thanks again. Rick

Yes that means there is a problem your end -- possibly inside your own home/network or on the way to your ISP.
If it happens again try reconnecting to your ISP (reboot router if you have one)
The tracert visually maps out the route between your PC & a remote server/website. The timeouts/'*' indicate where the problem is -- so if it is near the start of the route, the problem is your end.
As always reports and feedback are very much appreciated.

YAYYYYYY, it's working now. Seems my internet provider had to reset something or other. Anyway, it's good to be able to get back on, and thanks for your efforts Pete. Rick :)
