Here at SimV we always try to do anything possible to help you out. Obviously you can't please everyone all of the time, especially with over 30,000 members, but most people are very happy here. If you give it another chance, I'm sure you'll see different results.

tell you what. Im not financially well off, and i've tried 3 times to download that same file, twice normally and once with DAP. It crashes at 30+ meg and starts over everytime. Im capped at 500Mb for a month, so im extremely agitated

Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about the Internet service in South Africa, if you are capped at how much you can download, then you are going to have this problem at ANY FS site you visit, not just here.

The files are the same size no matter where you go.

Might I suggest you budget your downloads each month, thus allowing you to get the addons you want in a more convenient fashion.

First off, It started downloading just fine for me. And second, before you start throwing false accusations of linking to other sites, take a closer look at the URL for the file:

Hmm, looks like its downloading from the SimV server, not someone else's server.

As for it 'resetting', i'll continue downloading it and see what happens

errr...my cap has nothing to do with this, besides the fact that you link to reputable sites with your so called "reasonable 30kbps". Your file, SIR, cannot be downloaded. It stops at 30mb, then says the link is broken or the connection has been reset from YOUR server's side. My cap is not evebn at 50%, but trying to get a file from your server, seems impossible, and people wonder why piratebay is the best option

What makes you think this site is linking to other sites? It IS NOT. If you have evidence that proves otherwise, show it!

SimV's files don't link to other sites, they are all uploaded to our server.

Has linked to our files, essentially using us as it's file server.

He got the file link from there.

We host 100% of our files. We do however not allow linking from other sites without special arrangement and links into simviation from outside will encounter problems as there are bandwidth theft protection scripts in place. The mirage site you mention is one of our FS friends so any problem would be easily resolved given information and details.


We also ask that these forums be kept a friendly and positive place to chat. If you do not like that please accept that you will not be welcome. We also clean the mess from any trouble just as a restaurant would do if a guest started throwing food around.

You will find simviation one of the most reliable and friendly places on the Net -- that's how we like to keep it. Accept that & you are very welcome here. Thank you.  :)
