F/A-18 FSX Acceleration and Captain Sim F/A-18 Tex

Postby idahosurge » Tue Mar 24, 2009 11:26 pm

There is a F/A-18 FSX Acceleration and Captain Sim F/A-18 Textures Pack file in the FSX Payware download section.  I have downloaded this file twice and both times when I unzip it I get a error that the file could not be read.  It unzips five of the textures that come with it, but it will not unzip them all and there are 10 or so textures according to the description on the download page.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I am requesting that a Moderator from this site that has access to these download files look into this.  The file is on Page 113 of the FSX Payware section.  The title of the download is "F/A-18 FSX Acceleration and Captain Sim F/A 18 Texture Pack".

I have downloaded this file at least five times and everytime I unzip it I get an "Error Reading File" message around half way though the unzip process.  I would email the person who uploaded the file and ask him to upload again, but his email address is not included in any of the documents that actually get unzipped.

Regards,

Rod

Just tried dowloading & can see all texture sets

What zip tool are you using? I always recommend Izarc

Thanks for the advice Pete!

Pretty strange, I use the standard extract function that comes with Windows XP and that always gave me the error message and would only unzip five of the seven F/A-18A repaints and would not even get to the F/A-18D repaints.

I dowloaded Winrar and while that unzipped the complete file Winrar still gave me an error message that said the file was corrupt.

I downloaded Izarc and that unzipped the file with no error messages.

Winrar is for RAR files mainly.

Windows built in zip utility ....  ::) (Better off with a frying pan)

Izarc is like Winzip but it is free, stable  and reliable.
