unable to change signature

Hi!
I wanted to change my siggy, but I it wouldn't let me. I uploaded my new siggy and went on to change the link. Then I clicked on change profile. It always took long to load, but this time I got a page saying that I wasn't "allowed to change this members profile"...

Why dont you just overwrite the old one?

I had the same problem only yesterday. Might be a little bug in the forum.

We are trying to convert the forum to the new yabb. Converting the messages seems to be taking more than 24 hrs then failing - possibly becuase the forums are live & some folk are doing things like changing sigs & god knows what else - irrelevant to the main users ......
The solution may be to close the forums for a day or so - we'll see .
