I have found that many files that i wish to download require a username and password. What should I do in order to get those? Thanks in advance

Well thats not true here at simviation.maybe Pete will come along and help you out if your haveing this problem at simviation.hes the king here at simviation and would probley know what may cause this to happen.

Hi , this should not be the case.

If you can give me an example of exactly what file & what kind of window is requesting a username & password I will look into it.

& did you by any chance encounter this when using another site?

I've had this message appear on the odd occasion there's a dead link to the file. Pete would need the page number & the file name/description to fix it.

This message appears if you use the default IE download feature. It does not happen with a download manager utility like DAP. You simply get the message Unknown File.
