super slow to no downloads

It takes over 3 minutes to go to the plane I want to download, then it times out or it never downloads at all. I have a 40 mbps speed so it should be no problem. Any ideas? I also try downloads at off peak times with same results.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem. Obviously something is wrong.

Sunday we do get seriously busy but download should still start within 15 seconds max .. & off peak it should be immediate.

I will try now ....


OK just tried the latest approved file - the Flymandrier Courbessac Airfield, LFME, France

Time - counted 12 seconds before download starts.. (I am 4000 miles from the server and 320MBPS max dsl connection)

(OK just tried it again and it was instant)

Download speed is slow right now because we are maxing  out off and on. Currently 44 members and 1876 non members downloading files.

This is what happens on a Sunday. It's the busiest day. But 3 mins to connect is not right. I have never heard of this.

It is slow right now but not that slow. Can you try a tracert. (Go to Start - Run - type 'tracert www.simviation.com'

That will show you the path and possibly indicate where the problem is ..

Yeah I can confirm the 3 minute thing, at least for the home page. The forums work alright.

It's simply not 3 minutes -- 1 second now -- 12 seconds earlier ...

Do you want to try again and feed back with a tracert?

I had the problem too. I clicked the download button and it took ages to load with a little text bar on the lower left of the download screen, and suddenly it starts. And i had problem with downloading: i could only downl. 1 thing otherwise it would say: cant download more then 2 at a time. But that could be a pc problem!
