Yellowstone zip folder empty?

Postby Boikat » Thu Jul 03, 2008 9:29 pm

I downloaded the yellowstone zip and tried to extract it, but got "This compressed (zipped) folder is empty", even though "properties" says it contains 63.7 MBs as compared to the download page which says it should contain 89.76 MBs.

Funny thing is, just three or four days ago I was simviating around the Yellowstone park area wondering if there was a Yellostone scenery download available.... :)

I don't know what was causing the the first several tries, but I ended up going to the non-member and tried a few times there, and on the third try, it worked.

The geyser theory is just as good as any.  ;)

Glad to see you got it in the end. As with all these things the cause could have been many.

Yup.  It must have been just one of those odd "thing" at the time.   Haven't had any problems since. :)

Too bad there's not some way of planting trees on the Photo Real scenery.  I like flying low-level the vast majority of the time, and it's just not the same to not see trees and other things going by if you're simulating a water drop on the imaginary forest fire. (Downloaded the DC-4 smoke bomber, installed the scenery, but I haven't found that fire yet. :P )

But at least on the Yellowstone, you can see the hot-spring pools with their blue and green colors.  :)
