People underestimate gliders, they think because it has no engine that they can't go very far. Modern gliders are very efficient as shown in the video by Bruno.
If you watch the start of the longer video you can see that in the early stages of the flight it was touch-and-go if he would find enough lift to continue the flight.

I had no idea one could fly a glider with no engine or fuel for hours on end all over the mountains and back. Very exciting really.

Welcome to SimV, it's not that easy most glider flights end up landing out. It takes a lot of experience and skill, Bruno makes it look so easy.
When things get back to normal look up your local gliding club, they often have open days where you can have a go at gliding. Nothing beats the feeling you get from a winch launch.

For me this is the first time. I also want to join the team of professionals to learn to fly well. My friend lives in the Carpathians and flies there often. For me it would be so.
