A most difficult tune to play, and she does so very well. Good technique and interpretation.

From King Crimson's 1st album, 'In the Court of the Crimson King'.

Wow that tune is from 1969. 49 years ago. What does this mean? At that time rock music was revolutionary and interesting. Current 'young peoples' music is not interesting, revolutionary, challenging or even listenable. It's all about the beat. In 1969 I was 14 and listening to Crimson..... still do. I was not listening to music even from the 50's let alone 1920 which is the same time parameter.

Well said, Canuck. Yep, the good ol' days of great rock music. I played guitar in active groups here in Miami from 1967 to 1973 and played it all, Crimson, Tull, Sabbath, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Doors, Rascals, you name it. It was a great time to be in a rock group, they who saw us and all the other groups around really dug it.

Once again it's great to see someone so young playing the older stuff, it give one hope for the future. Can't say I have a lot of time for what passes for music these days, but there are quite a few bands out there keeping the flame alight. A few I can thinf of at the moment, Mostly Autumn (The best band you've never heard of), Magenta (Rob Reed), Landmarq ect, well worth looking out for

Cheers

I was at a wedding recently. Easily 300 people across all generations in attendance, many teens and 20 somethings and a good racial mix too. There was a hired DJ and a live band. The DJ started the evening with present day stuff. Nobody would get up on the dancefloor. After 20 minutes he was persuaded to play 60's &70's records. The dance floor was jam packed. He was clearly annoyed as his prized choices were rejected. The band came on for their bit and did standard rock covers, Fleetwood Mac, Badfinger etc.. dancing continued. Finally DJ tried his rap and hip hop and everyone sat down. He gave up and hit the 70's single again. Floor filled up.

One of the first 8-track tapes that I bought to play in my Ford Pinto's Marantz hung-under-the-dash deck was In the Court of the Crimson King, King Crimson. I followed vocalist Greg Lake's career for all his life. Sadly, Lake (and Keith Emerson) both passed in 2016.

Agree with Canuck.

I was the first buyer of this album in Barcelona.
