I never trust Train Level Crossings. I always indicate, and stop, listen, and look both ways, when on my Bike.

The Train/Truck Video.

A bit like an Intersection.

One thing I really like about the American road system, is their insistence that traffic comes to a complete standstill (STOP) at an Intersection (Crossroads/T-Junction, etc), and check for other traffic in all directions, before proceeding.
Failure to do so results in a serious traffic offence!

We rarely have such a sensible safety feature here in England! Its a bit of a free-for-all!

English Intersections give me the Heeby-Jeebies!.... ....!
Self preservation is always on my mind!
