How advertising planes pick up banners

Well I'll be... I always assumed the banner was laid out behind the plane on the runway, just before takeoff.

Thanks for this video! I've seen this at our local field, but watching this made me realise why they do that steep climb at the catch: it minimises the "ground run" of the banner.
