St. Barth's is well documented as being an extremely difficult approach, even in a docile airplane like the single-engine Cessna. I would have had no sympathy whatsoever for the tourist if he had been hit; it would simply have removed another idiot from the gene pool. My concern would only be that such a collision would cause serious problems for the pilot, possibly even a fatal crash.
