Not that impressive. Look up demo videos of any recent airliner and they do the same thing. The A380 is just as sprightly <<q

Lightly loaded airliners have incredible performance. The FARs (Part 23 specifically) require that they be designed to TAKE OFF with a failed engine within a specified runway length. The result is they have a surprisingly high thrust-to-weight ratio. Lots of spoilers and ailerons on the wings give the good control authority too.

All pretty normal with low AoA, comfortably above stall, and low G. Pretty tame routine.

Watched the video, it's a fake. Very clever FS flight model by Boeing engineers. Maybe even P3D. <<r

It is not a fake. It was filmed during the 787 flight team's practice at Farnborough last weekend.

It 'repeats' because that is their routine.

Airline demos are pretty boring & repetitive...just like airliners!

Really; hmm, wonder why at the end it has a Boeing logo...... :?

Possibly because the video is by "BOEING". Just a guess, don't ya know.......

Why would Boeing put out a fake video of an aircraft they're trying to sell? An aircraft that they need to show how it preforms to get airlines to invest huge sums of money in their company by way of billions of dollars in orders for fleets.....

That's nothing. Check this out --> Boeing 707 prototype Barrel Roll - 1955

And this --> Avro Vulcan barrel roll - Farnborough Air Show 1955

Not quite the same but just as impressive --> C-27J Spartan at RIAT earlier this month

Yup Hagar, couldn't fake that could they? I remember it well, an eye-witness to the Vulcan. Years before they thought of faking anything like that. :violin:

OK SG, the you tube is impressive. Taken from the ground it is definitely not fake. On the other hand, the news released version by Boeing looks like a fake. Who is taking the shots? Especially the air to air shots?
