TWO F-14 Tomcat Carrier Traps

Postby Hestntonpms » Tue Feb 11, 2014 2:44 am

This was done on my Old PC,the CPU was AMD 965 Phenom Black Edition
The Video card was Nvidia GTX 660ti, same hard drives as I have now in Raid 0
different power supply and about 8 gig of ram if I remember correctly.

I ran the first flight in the F14 Tomcat and recorded that with FS recorder then I flew the second F-14 behind myself by playing as traffic , so yea, I flew both airplanes which seems like the same time but they're really not :)
That Old AMD really was not a bad chip at all, I can't say I had many complaints about it,it is definitely a great OC chip!

Ya but, you had to try to match the sound to the video, because of FS Recorder,,, right ????

that' seems like such a pain, and lengthy process,,,

the formation flying was cool !!!

I use that Formation flying program, that allows me to have like 12 to 24 aircraft flying around me on either side.

FS Recorder seems like too much work, and it doesn't record sound with the video,,, which is why we see so many of those mundane Flying Music Videos anymore, that last like 2:34/ Two Minutes and 34 seconds and call that a movie, somehow ?? :?

I liked your Video, its length anyway and the formation shots, and carrier landing and you did have SOUND    , and NOT dumb trance music !!!

Keep on' Flyin !!!

Thank you Jet Ranger, was fun to make and I have to say about the sound issue with Fs recorder I have heard that but never experienced that issue at all, that sound is exactly as recorded in the second flight, the only issue I have experienced with Fs recorder is when I use PMDG in play as traffic mode the front landing gear is always turned sideways, if I had to edit sound to match a video it would not be worth my time

I have seen the videos of 5 or 6 planes in formation with one guy doing the flying but I could never get it to work for me, I can only fly along my first recording as traffic
