Unreal

Saw this on facebook. The linked news site reported this video as real, they prattled on about malfunctioning afterburners or something..........No where near April the 1st either.

worth a watch though Lol. Be interesting to see if it's possible in FSX.

There is a well-known saying; "You can fool most of the people, most of the time".

From my experience, you can fool ALL of the people, ALL of the time!... ;) ...!

My advice; Don't believe anything that you read, see, or hear!

...trust me... ...!

There are so many gullible people out there, its....."UNREAL!"... :o ....!

Nice additional vids 8)

I've done a bit of RC modelling but I didn't spend quite that much. I tried carrier landings in CFS and Lomac (I think) quite a high failure rate I seem to remember.

Does the FSX flight engine allow true VTOL? I seem to remember that previous MS flightsims didn't, FS2004 needed a slight headwind??...... could be wrong.

I have to admit when I saw the vid in the OP I thought wtf, my critical brain kicked in about 10 seconds later.

The FSX flight engine doesn't allow it by default but a few mods do produce it, i think the UKMIL harrier( think its that one, could be another one) and i'm pretty sure one of the f35 downloads with the VTOL model also has it, not sure about that one.

Too bad the F-35 is not VTO capable at the present time and that is why the F-35 is a STOVL for Short Take Off Vertical Landing
A Harrier is a True VTOL,
The F-35 must enter a bit of a roll before gaining any altitude vertically.
I am not even sure if The F-35 could perform this maneuver at any altitude though I could be completely wrong

I do think FSX does allow True VTOL only because we do have choppers that take off that way, so I do not see why it would be impossible to use similar files just converted into airplanes ,maybe someone can mess around with the CFG files of their choppers, take out the files that give them lift and replace them with their airplanes thrust and see what happens :)
