More important: will it make coffee play YouTube in HD? Because my old box of electronics doesn't...

The way computers work, it will be the fastest, until next month.  Within a year the computers at Best Buy will be as fast.

Yes, it would max out FSX. The only problem is a constant supply of liquid nitrogen would be needed to keep it at 5.5ghz.

And yes it would run youtube in HD. Most computers that are less than 5 years old can do that...

It's amazing how fast computers progress. Not sure if in one to two years something will be faster (unless overclocked). A three year old Q6600 overclocked to 5ghz under liquid nitrogen is still faster than a Core i7 975. Of course the Q6600 wouldn't last very long at them speeds, and probably wouldn't be completely stable  (and an i7 overclocked would murder it.) :P
