Hi Shane.   Thanks for the link.  I'm doing this for a friend so have installed FRAPS on my machine & I've found out how to get FRAPS working.  As I use iMovie, Windows Movie Maker is OK except that I can't yet get transitions into the timeline!!   I'm not using FSRecorder.  FRAPS & WMM seem to do the job alright.    Thanks for your help.   Thanks to a friend I'm having some nice fun!

In windows movie maker for the transitions, switch to storyboard view, and drag and drop the transition you want into the box in between clips.

Right.   I must tell you -  I've just captured my first landing (Bae 146 at HRow) but spoiled by the ATS dialogue window appearing.  I forgot to turn the window off  :-[
