Frame rate problem

I installed FRAPS recently in computer 1 & have recorded a few practice videos with decent frame rates, but this morning videos are very jerky & frame rates have dropped to 8 at times.

Fraps can do that ...... it's jockying for processor time with the sim and frame rates suffer.

Ok but why today & not yesterday?   Their web site said it wouldn't effect FRs & I've not changed anything in my FS9.  Is there a better way of making videos?
