Anyone know if this is fake?  It seems fake to me, hard to believe a C-130 would just fold up and crash like this since the bird is built to land in the harshest of conditions

It is real. I remember seeing it on the news shortly after it happened. It was some time back and I think it may also have been reported in the newspapers.

Holy crap. What happened. Overstress on the wings on pullout or something like that, or was it something more complicated?

Just too many duty cycles and less-than-perfect inspections, combined with pulling up when there was probably still a lot of retardant left in the tank.

 Probaly because it happend some years back. I remember seeing on the television news.
