Make up your mind...Is he still your friends instructor or was he your friends instructor?

Awesome video...I wonder if the camera was on a tripod or on someone...Love the host's reaction

Ray never worked as a flying instructor to the best of my knowledge. He joined the RAF, became leader of the Red Arrows, joined Cathay Pacific, setup The Old Flying Machine Company and when he wasn't living in Switzerland he was displaying classic warbirds around the globe!

Well I did a quick check. Ray Hanna taught exactly 1 person to fly, his son Mark (aged 16)...

Nobody seems to have mentioned that Ray Hanna passed away in December 2005.
http://www.warbirdsoverwanaka.co.nz/article_2006.asp?id=featuresHowever, as reported in the above obituary, he qualified as a flying instructor before joining the Red Arrows in 1965 & it's quite likely he taught quite a few pilots to fly during a varied career.

Oops. I missed that.

The reporter in the clip is racing driver, pilot & commentator Alain de Cadenet. He is now 62.
http://www.speedtv.com/speed/bio/126/Craig might remember him at Goodwood last year.
