I've been a fan of Danish music all this time and didn't know it.

That sounds a bit like Just A Closer Walk With Thee, popular at New Orleans funerals.

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

They sound a lot like Kenny Ball's Jazzmen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Penj1ZgyPg

Sadly Kenny passed away in March this year. Aged 82 he was still performing regularly until a couple of months before his death.

The 12-bar Blues, "New Orleans style", with a full compliment of different musical instruments...

..one of my favourite musical styles, either fast (dance), or slow (funeral)!

Best played by the original musicians, from long ago!

Very difficult to sit still!

Kenny Ball and Humphrey Lyttleton, etc...

Paul... ...!

I am so glad you like it, and thank you very muck for your links. I enjoy it

We could go on with Mr Acker Bilk, Chris Barber, Lyttleton joining Dutch Swing College Band in Weary Blues 1976 a.s.o...

This link shows the Viking Band 2 years before Papa died in 2011.
He used to play a tromb solo, but was obviously beginning to get a little tired.

Sad news.

I can always recognise a Banjo Player in any Jazz Band, they keep the rhythm going, together with the Bass Player.... :D ..!

(4-string Banjo).

@Webb. I got "A Closer Walk With Thee" on an LP with this Viking band recorded live in Dingolfing, Germany 1982.

Its a very beautiful recording and one of my favorites. I've being searching it for days! Youtube dont have it!!
Maybe its because this site wants to be payed for it :?)

Spotted the Banjo, Kurt!

Out of all the mountains of various musical instruments I own, the only ones I find very difficult to play require embouchure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embouchure

....such as my Trumpet, Clarinet, Oboe, Shawm, Flute, etc....

Strings, Keys, and blown (Recorders, Flageolets), etc...no problem!

A story.
As a very young kid i got a trompet as a present. I loved it, and was proud!
BUT, my parents forced me to learn how to play it quickly...
My teacher were an arrogant, none educationalist sob and i hated him!!
It ended up with me, hiding in the woods the whole day he was suppose to come. Never saw him again.
Since that day, my love for that trompet were gone

When it comes to learning to play musical instruments, there is a difference between Persuasion and Encouragement!

My dear old Mum and Dad encouraged me to learn to play the piano when I was very young.
They never persuaded me to play it, so I enjoyed the experience, and have been enjoying playing all my collection of musical instruments ever since!... ...!

One of the most relaxing and enjoyable pastimes you could imagine....
...almost as much as riding my trusty Motorcycle!.... :D ...!

Paul...riding my Motorcycle whilst playing my Banjo at the same time......best of both Worlds!... ... ...!

I'm sorry, Kurt.

The only thing that I can think of is that, for some reason, you don't like strumpets.

Of course, if you put all strumpets out of work, they'd starve to death. That would be sad.
