I'll tell your what....

After watching that video, you wouldn't believe just how slowly and carefully I rode my bike last Easter weekend, on my trip through Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, to visit my family....

...with the vision of pain/death, shredded skin, and broken bones constantly on my mind.... ;) ...!

I find motorcycle racing far too scary to watch!.... ....!

Far too much excitement for me.... ...!

Paul....slowly and carefully does it for me.... ...!

P.S..."Slowly and carefully" doesn't work for our Ozzy72!... ...!

Mad Sunday with traffic in both directions was Dangerous, but its a bit safer now as its in one direction no oncoming traffic. I hope to get to the TT next year and the Le Mans 24Hr which is just before the TT.

I made it to the I.O.M. twice, once in 1958 and then in 1961. 1st time I took my Enfield model G and was too embarrassed to spin it around on mad Sunday. Then in '61 I had a Norton 99 which would challenge most bikes out there, but believe me after that Mad Sunday's trip with bikes, cars and hikers in both directions, it was just like Paul says, bleedin' scary. Worst thing was they made you empty your tank on the ferry. I was hard pressed at 5 bob a gallon to fill it up for the return trip on a serviceman's 14 bob a week. :violin:

I think bikers and horse riders suffer similar sort of injuries so possibly this might be the way to go

it attaches to a point on the saddle and when you fall off it inflates, in the cross country event it has saved the rider from serious injury. If they could modify it to make it suitable for bikers I would have one.

Could sell those to old folks homes for when they take patients for their afternoon wheel about along with an inflatable balaclava.
