A wonderful video, Tug!.....I thoroughly enjoyed it!.... :dance: ...!

...and gave me a reason the park my Motorcycle up for a while and wheel out my trusty Cessna 150 Aerobat and do a spot of "sim-flying" for a change!

In either case, its all to do with exploring the countryside at low level!

The smell and taste of fresh air on/in a Honda, Yamaha, Piper Cub!

Hey Trucker, depending on when you were there we may have met as I spent a lot of time there in the 60's and early 70's. My father an I were the people to call at the time if you needed fuel and no one was there as we lived only a couple of minuets from the airport. I always enjoyed meeting the new pilots and seeing their aircraft.

We have been popping in and out of there since the strip was built. As for purchasing fuel in the 60s or 70s, quite possible. We owned a good number of different aeroplanes up to the late 90s and as UELs, United Empire Loyalists we would visit Upper Canada Village, Chrysler Farm and Fort Henry usually every 2nd year or when friends dropped in to visit.... ;) Many relatives in that area.

Our last visit we saw a Pitcairn Aircraft in the air and I was wondering if it was based somewhere around Smith Falls :?:

We were several miles north of Hyw 401 heading east to Halifax and the Pitcairn Aircraft was heading South towards Fort Henry or the Lake. Looked like it was making good time also.
It could easily have been a Pitcairn Aircraft-18.

Not sure if they came out of Smith Falls or not but could not reach the Pitcairn on the Unicom Frequency.

Tug have you seen that Pitcairn at Smith Falls :?:

If you guys haven't flown the Pitcairn AutoGyro thats available on Simviation you should give it a try. Its fun to fly and its really good for "low and slow" sight-seeing and touring. Flying it through the Grand Canyon and landing it in there or flying around the Eifel Tower or Statue of Liberty etc etc. is good fun.
