Talking about mysterious Crop Circles... ;) ....

I can remember always being confused by the strange green circles appearing in the USA Flight Sim scenery landscape in FS 2000/FS 2002/FS 2004!

I used to think it was due to errors in the scenery display, and it took me some time to realise that it as actually a very common sight in the USA for automatic wheeled irrigation of crops!...>>> https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Wheel ... 67&bih=853

As far as I am aware it is not a system generally used in Great Britain...

Paul...irrigating myself with some very nice Californian Red vino from Sonoma County....... ...!

I first learned to fly (for reals!) in Calistoga, upper end of the Napa Valley when I was a wee lad of but 14 summers! Your mention of Sonoma Wines brought it all flooding back. Couldn't even drive to the gliderport (back when they HAD a gliderport....), I had to ride my bike there every day. I was working as a line-boy at the port, 5hrs work=1hr dual time, 1.5 hrs solo. I solo'd a week after my 14the birthday, loved every second of it, even the instructor smacking me in the back of the head with a yardstick when I messed up! Darn effective teaching method, btw!

Thanks for the memories!

Much of my daily California Flight Sim flights for the past 15 years (since Flight unlimited II) are spent around Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley with its various airfields, as well as its famous vineyards!
I know most of Southern California like the back of my hand now!...(The Northern part is rather overgrown... a bit like like Oregon!).... :D ...!
San Francisco area is now my back garden!
