I'm just now diving into the Green Screen thing, and learning how to Chroma Key Video's and photos.
Quite an interesting venture I'll add ~ !
So I got out my HI-DEF Canon Video camera and set up a Green Screen, which I made using Flourscent Green Construction paper , then I got out my "Expensive" Collector Car Collection, and started taking Videos of them.
Some I had problems with due to their color interfering with the back grounds I used.
Also the Lighting against the Green Screen has to be very well lit, evenly all over the Green Screen, without any Shadows or dark spots, or they'll show up in the Video.
The material one uses for a Green Screen, must be stretched tight or a hard surface like the Construction paper I used, a sheet or towel will not work, as well as the surface needs to be very very Smooth , so no folds or wrinkles in the material.
TAPE: has to be the exact same color and smooth, with NO texture in the tape !!!
Then after shooting whatever it is that is going to be shot, its time to load the footage in a good quality Editor program, like Sony Vegas or I use SERIF Movie maker Pro #5.
You'll have to already somewhat know your video editing program, and get into the Chroma Key settings and learn how to apply those settings to the video footage and tinker around with the Variences of the footage.
I'm still learning myself, eventually after I've tinkered with this for months on end and experimented with all kinds of footage and backgrounds I'll get better.
Heres a short video I did in like 6 hours of work !
