I didn't realize little planes were that powerful.

Looks like a turboprop powered crop duster.  Even with all the power it had, they sure didn't climb very much.  They didn't clear the buildings by more than a couple hundred feet, and those appear to be at least .5 mile from the runway.  I would also think the more dangerous part would be not tangling the gliders in each others lines.  I imagine if one hit another's cable, you would have a huge mess, not to mention all the gliders behind it getting caught up in it as well.
