Not quite what you expected
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcu3GklGvLoAccording to some people I know, Steve Fossett had been very intrigued by this video just days before his disappearance, which has led some to believe he had attempted it and sank into a lake. That would explain the lack of wreckage or ELT signal.
