Anyone else unlocked or bought either of the two WWII vintage military VWs? I've just tried to take the Kubelwagen around the Eiger Nordwand K trail - failing after about 3 minutes due to the appearance of a gentle slope!

Well the only thing I don't like so far is when I was installing the game, it was stuck on "3 secs remaining" for 25 minutes!

Mine said complete and sat there for 45 minutes before I said to heck with it and restarted.  I now play without the install, I hear it isn't much faster at all.  I'll try to install it some other time, but for now I'm happy.

Just a heads-up to anyone who hasn't seen, but apparently PD are releasing 3 "chromeline" cars on Xmas eve to download - including the Jag XJ13, which most users will appreciate for the nigh on impossible historic series!

I am 2400 miles from my PS3.  Was it true?  Are they still available?

It was for the Japanese GT market only. 

The only other way to get them was by buying the Signature Edition, which wasn't available in the US market either.

Quite. Shame, isn't it. I'd have hoped PD would have been progressive enough to embrace DLC, just as their competitors, particularly now NFS have moved into more serious territory with "Shift".
