F1 2010

Postby pfevrier » Tue Sep 21, 2010 10:45 am

Is anyone here gonna get the new F1 2010 by Codemasters?
It looks pretty sweet, especially since there hasn't been a good F1 game in ages... Hopefully it won't disappoint. Let me know your opinion of it if you got it.

Yes, but not until they fix the pitlane bug.
It does look good though.

It's one of my most anticipated games of the year  ;D

Last one I played was about a decade ago, so I'm ready to get back into the driving seat  :P

for me the main thing will be the handling. i couldn't care less about graphics, as long as it drives right. they've not included brake balance which sucks. But they have included engine management which is cool.

Reading the forums at codemasters. There seems to be a lot of bugs.
AI are apparently much faster in the race than they should be (simmilar to F1CE)
The pitstop bug where you wont be released till all cars in the pitlane have been let out first. (basically from dry to wet you will drop to the back)
Dry tyres work as well as the wets in the rain. Not fully confirmed yet.
Punctures happening to often
Think I might wait on this.

Are these bugs the same in PC and xbox 360 versions, do you know? If I were to buy it, I was thinking of getting the 360 version... but if the bugs are the same, there's no way to update  so I'd be screwed. Mmmmh I hope they won't let us down.

Got my copy this morning - so far so good.  Graphically excellent and car handling seems pretty good as well.

Haven't had the chance to see how different the cars handle in relation to each other yet.

Think I'm going to need a fair bit of practise though before I get competitive (I hope).

Using a hand controller for now but interested to hear people's opinions on a wheel and pedals.

This thread has just put me off buying the game. I have Rfactor for what is essentially a one person time attack, and with so much more I can do to the car to improve it.

Got it. Amazing game improvements could be made e.g safety car red flags.
