I know hockey fans are few and far between here, but I thought I would post a quick review here.
I bought this for PS3, and it has blown me away.
The soundtrack is that which they play at the games...90's hip hop, Pantera, The Hey Song, various metal and alternative songs...matches the games I watch every night.
The hitting is terrific!!! BLAM hip check and the dude is knocked out of the game. A slap shot to the knees will also take a player out.
Many many modes of play. Be the goalie, be the GM, just play...they have it all.
Dekes, jumps, tucks and turns....one timers, you can tuck the puck back into your skates, kick it back out, and continue the play
Or you can flip the puck up, jump a downed player, and continue for the goal.
FIGHTS!!! Who doesn't love hockey fights? You can "power punch" now. Tug the jersey, tug punch tug punch...POWER PUNCH to a KO!!!! This game is getting very realistic. Plus many more features (be a pro mode, fantasy mode...etc)
If you like hockey games, I really recommend this game, I have been collecting NHL games for playstation for years and this one is by far the best.
