Steam??

I just bought IL-2 through Steam, is there anyway of playing this game without it connecting to steam?

I want to be able to add mods & stuff, but I can't seem to find the folder it's in on my harddrive anywhere, but it downloaded something for quite a while, and I can play it. :-?

Did I pay $9 to just play an online only version of the game, thereby never really 'owning' the game, or is there just a clever trick involved?

I'm hoping I didn't screw up here. :-/

It might be in C:/programfile/steam/steamapps/common or your user name ;)

You should be able to go into 'offline' mode on steam, it never connects to steam hehehe, when your starting up steam take out your internet cord or wireless thingo, steam will say it can not connect, chose 'offline' mode ;) Then well it's opened you can reconnect back to the nets ;)

I've figured out the offline mode (when in doubt ask the support people. :-[ :P )

Does any one know if the Steam version of 1946 can be modded?
I still haven't even located the game on my hard drive!  ;D :-?

Download the Unified mod I posted in the IL2 board ;)

That will get you started ;)
