The new XBOX Experience thoughts (Dashboard)

Postby tcco94 » Thu Nov 20, 2008 2:28 am

What are your thoughts about the new xbox dashboard?

I sortof like it although it will take some time to get use to but its cool..
I mostly like when the xbox button and the menu that comes up is diffrent.
The avatars are pretty sick although I hope they have new clothes added to wear and its fun seeing how my real friends make theres look and some of my xbox friends make theirs.

The netflix is awesome mostly because I already had it before but now finding out the movies you can watch on your xbox are the old ones makes that very dissapointing.

Although im waiting for some new demo downloads..I love playing free games :D...

I am enjoying it. Clothes will come soon enough. Hopefully you will be able to choose the colours too... Currently it is very limited. Custom images on clothes would be good too.

I want either a G-man type suit, or Agent Smith type one. Currently a few of our clan members have the morning suit, which is good but could be better. I think a black suit would look much better. Just need the deagle too.

I can't say I'm overall impressed with the Avatars, I know Microsoft are trying to outreach to the Casual gamer and all, but these are way too alike to the Wii's WiiMii. Microsoft could've created a much better Avatar system than this. Something like PlayStation's PSHome would've been impressive. Microsoft need to really grip the console war by the balls and start creating their own ideas to blow the competition away, not steal ideas from others.

The Dashboard is much better however, it has a more friendly and interesting design.

Very much agreed. I think the best parts to this new dashboard is the design and I love the netflix. :)

The other thing is that you cant really do anything with your avatar. They do have games for it but who wants to pay for an arcade game none of your friends own. If they had an enviorment like the PShome with the avatars they made that wouldove been cool but just plain old avatars is exactly like the Mii but with a better appearance.  ::)

The PShome looks so cool but im not going to buy another consule for that waste of money and mostly a waste of my time and life to do that after already playing lots of Flight Simulator. ::) There's an advantage to having your parents divorced I play a diffrent game at each house FSX and XBOX although xbox isnt really interesting me anymore because I cant sit and play a game for to long.

I think the new dashboard is great, it's a great way to attract more people, my friend is buying and X360 because i let him play it for a bit at my house after i got ht update and he loved it.  The avatars are good too because you can use them for gamer pictures and the only real good GPs you can get are from microsoft points and some people don't bother with them (SUCH AS ME :D)
I like the new premium themes aswell, night is my favourite :D I think it would be cool if you could get a full ACU pattern uniform (US army uniform) and flight suits with the helmet and oxygen mask etc...  atleast we can get aviator glasses and camo paint  ;)
