Best First Person Shooter

007: goldeneye is not a game. its a GOD!

Sorry to dig up an ancient thread, but...

Before you buy anything download America's Army.  It's free.  It's MP only.  And it's easily the most realistic first person shooter I've ever played, perhaps by a factor of 10.

AA is good, but the training missions are some of the msot tedious moments i have ever endured in any game!

AA is good, but official servers tend to be hacked quite a bit. Need to get on one of the clan servers to get a clean game.

I have all the Hitman games but don't recall them being FPS. I thought that was concidered a third person shooter. My 2 cents. Great games though.

COD4 is going to be the best FPS when it comes out i gaurentee it.

If it's on PC, then War Rock is a good FPS. It's only multiplayer, though.
