Well youve gotten further than me. I hav'nt had time to really dive iinto the intricate workings of it yet. :)

I really liked Microsoft's Space Simulator dont know why they stopped development of it :-?

I imagine they'd be able to go out far distances and not tak up much memory space, since space is just, well, space. How far out does it go anyways?

I've tried to see how far it goes, but it just takes to long, even with unlimited fuel, and time acceleration. I have gone pretty far past where Pluto would be (since Pluto isn't in the sim).

Edit: Oh and if you guys have any questions about Orbiter, Dan's Forum is a good  place to ask questions about Orbiter. You can find it off the main Orbiter page. I'm Brando14100 there too. I'm not on there nearly as much now that I have SimV though.

SMALL inputs with the thrusters! + key  on the numberpad is main thrusters, Playing without a joystick is sucide! F1 for cockpit view, F4 for menu,F9 for celestial grid.  The best way out of a spin is a button called "Kill Rot". When using Time Warp start small and work up to make sure you're not spinning! A small spin at x1 speed becomes unreal at x1000!  And landing on Jupiter is harder than I Thought! ;)

Lol, I deleted this game.

I managed to reach the moon. Pointing my ships nose to it, I got close to it and somehow managed to overshoot.

Pressing T for having time go by quicker almost result in spin out ALL the time.

Not userfriendly for me @ all.

I'll stick to FSX  :D

To get to planets easier, try IMFD. Read this thread at Dan's Forum first:

Orbiter can be very hard at first... but once you get the hang of it, it becomes so much fun..

just don't give up on it... start small, then work your way up... remember a sub-orbital flight is way easier than a trip to Mars

try launching out of earth athmosphere just to see how the craft handles... then bring it back down... once the air is below you, it's completely different than flying conventional aircraft... so don't get frustrated if at first it seems to hard

remember that in space, every action REQUIRES an equal opposite reaction so a little push forward needs another push backwards to make you stop

also KillRot (numpad 5) is your best friend use it!

after mastering controlling your space-borne craft, try establishing a stable orbit (close to 0 eccentricity)... this might require some reading of tutorials to properly understand orbital mechanics (it's very simple after you figure it out)

just keep in mind that it may look difficult at first, but it's not like it's rocket science.... oh.. wait  ;)

Cheers
