Crysis demo on a DECENT system

Postby Ivan » Sun Oct 28, 2007 4:58 am

Compressed to hell....

Anyway, Crysis on detail setting 'high' @ 1440x900. Shots not in chronological order
Image
Norinco + Cobra sight = loads of noise and dead enemies

Image
In-Game cutscenes are done by the game engine... with even more detail than the game part itself

Image
Running to the rescue point

Image
Signal flare... looks way better ingame

Image
Sunrise... time to rack up some kills

Image
Boosted jumps make rock climbing easier

Image
Water detail... reflections are done realtime here.

More shots later including the 'Guide to offensive vehicle tactics'
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Anybody know if DX10 support is enabled in the demo? I've been playing it (and loving it) but I want to see the DX10 stuff because so far the graphics are good but not what I was expecting.

Knowing it's made by the Crytek guys...........Does anyone other than me notice at least on a terrain scale the same stuff/setting as FarCry? I loved all the trailers to this game and as it's an FPS am sure to purchase it when the full game comes out.......Just seems a bit familiar to me is all. Crytek........FarCry.......Island......bad guys....plot..........CryTek................Crysis............Island....plot........FarCry you get shipwrecked. Crisis you get airdropped and there is a shipwreck or two already on the island... :-? ::) ;D   FarCry on Roids maybe?????? ;D..It's mine one way or the other I suppose.

I played the demo on DX10, and it looks awesome.  The whole demo is awesome.  I love doing the speed boost and just running circles around enemies... [smiley=evil.gif]

Well if you bring up the command prompt at the beginning of the game (~), it says on mine that I'm not DX10 compatible.  Well nVidia has led me to believe I am, and according to dxdiag I am running DX10.

Also I can't run with settings too high, which is odd, cause I have a good computer....
