Cropping and Framing

A section or two of a reasonably-good image can be made more interesting and full by cropping. In this screenshot a good amount of the left and bottom of the original were cropped away, as both were quite void comparatively and, as such, out of balance with the rest of the shot. Additionally, the color blue does not focus on a human's retina, it focuses behind it. Hence, framing with low-saturation and warm-toned framing helps to let your eyes fall into the image that has cool-toned blue hues like the sky...

Flying Rick Piper's fine plane, a Hunting/BAC Jet Provost ... egoryId=34 during a little game I've played occasionally for over a decade: "Buzz the Tower" - flying very low-level from KBFF, Scottsbluff, Nebraska and heading an average of 216 degrees for about 75 nm to KCYS, Cheyenne, Wyoming to sneak up on and buzz the control tower. Always mild, variable winds pushing one side or the other with mild turbulance configured in to keep it interesting. Lots of fun.
