I've been involved in photography and graphic arts for over 40 years and I can honestly say.....What's not to like about this image. It's clean, crisp conveys the strength and import of the aircraft. Good job!

Pretty hard to find anything that could
improve your shot. The only thing I
would change would be maybe a tiny bit more light
on the side of the aircraft.
Really nice shot all round yankees.

The gamma could be increased, then also contrast, for 'brighter' side.

yes, I thought about that, I even tried it, but felt that the darker one was more in line with the imposing size of the aircraft, it's so big it blocks the sun...

Great shot. Possibly the only suggestion would be to split the difference between the two views.

This better? Or still too dark?

Straight from the sim, only a crop. One thing I don't like, see if you think so too..

Perhaps what is 'wrong' are the clouds on the mountainsides? That's because your cloud 'base' is too low. Raise the base to be above what ever the mountains height is. Otherwise it IS perfect! Or what is 'wrong' is too many props? 2 instead of 4? (hehe).

Jan, I've been a fan of your work for a long time. I've collected many of your repaints including your most recent on the B-26. Great work!!

So having said that ...in my opinion the last shot looks very impressive. I think the low cloud base gives you the feeling that the aircraft is at a high altitude airfield. Everything looks good aircraft wise but I think the vehicles in the background are out of scale. They're too small. I know this isn't your doing, it's one of the quirks of FSX.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

I may be wrong but the vehicles compared to the buildings
look to be in scale to me.I also think the aircraft is a good distance
from those buildings and vehicles. It could be a perspective thing
making them look out of scale.
The clouds are fine.I agree about the altitude of the airport.

hey, who stole my engine??

thank for your comments, guys. I was quite happy with this shot too, especially after cropping out the uninteresting foreground. The cars, well, that's just their size I think, no, what I did not like was that all props had exactly the same orientation, which I felt looked a bit odd. Clearly nobody else thought so, so that's good then.

You want another shot, or does anybody else want to have a go?
