Waspi made my shot a finalist  :) and with no one else voting I left it in. However - to acknowledge it's all a bit too 'nepotistic' this month with me choosing half the entrants I voted for someone else.  :)

One thing to remember with edited is that people tend not to nominate them so much, so you might like to keep an eye on that forum for things to nominate if not much is coming out of there.

All you have to do, is when you turn the calendar over for the next month, on the 1st or 2nd or 3rd, look through all the E nominations and send me 3 pics, with the names of the people, marked 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice, by PM. It takes about 10-15 minutes.

Yes, you are right, we can't vote for our own. That doesn't mean you'll never get a chance at competing though, because if your shot is good enough the other 2 judges will consider it just like any other picture.

That's why I was hesitant about putting one of mine in with only one judge voting for it. We need 3 people or more ideally to make things fair. That way I just co-ordinate and set up the comp, and don't select anything - though if there are more than one pic by the same author chosen, or 9 different pics by different people chosen, then I have to decide (based on 1st/2nd/3rd choices, whether or not they are in another 'best of' comp, if they won last time etc) what goes in and what stays out. Most of the time I don't have to make many of these critical choices though...

Voting is slow here... there are two out ahead, but only a few more people voting and it could all change - come on guys!!

Too right! Well, anyway, the Studio V screenshot gallery has been updated. Now featuring around 55 shots for 2008, all of top quality, plus a good many more from previous years, the Studio V gallery alongside the personal portfolios is shaping up to be a very impressive body of work from all our members!
