I use adobe photoshop elements!!
I have got Photoshop CS2 aswell, but don't often use it. I learn't on Elements, so CS2 seems really wierd! I just like Elements because its nice and simple.

Which one is it that has all the nice brushes and stuff that you can make really nice edits? Is that all you've been saying?

CS2 is definately the best version yet. I started with 6.0 and it's basically the same. CS2 just has more options and renders some effects with better quality. CS2 is very expensive, but I've heard that Adobe is going to put it on-line, so you can use it as a free on-line image editor, but with limited options. If you want a full version of photoshop, but don't have the bucks to buy CS2, I advise you to buy an older version, like 6.0. It's perfectly fine for making edits and I could have made all my recent edits with 6.0 instead of CS2. I've never used any older version than 6.0, but I expect that 5.0 is very useful as well.

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/It's only $649. :-/

If you have the bucks or can make an arrangement I would get it. The smart filters apparantly are a great invention. I would be happy to work with the smart filter option, because I hate having to save my picture all the time and being unable to undo/redo things I have changed.

Elements is good for the usual cropping and colour enhancing, but it lacks some tools that come in handy when you want to make composites. I guess you should just buy what you need. If you want to edit a screenshot every once in a while, elements is the perfect program, but if you want to make high quality composites (planes cut out of screenshots and pasted onto photo backgrounds), photoshop is the thing for you.
