The original backround pic was a bit compressed to begin to with, but I liked the edit enough where I decided I should post it. What do you guys think of it? Just something quick.  ;)

The only thing I can say is that the heat blur looks like it is just a guassian blur. If you haven't already check out this tut. Make sure to add some ocean ripple and use the blur tool to make it blend. Just some suggestions

The clouds don't look real...they're too yellow...never seen that type of cumulus any color other than white.  I'd suggest making them whiter...and then I think it'll look much better .
