Yup you need some AA like mad .  Otherwise they aren't badly set up...

If your computer isn't fast enough to run fs9 on high settings, you can fly in low settings and then set up a shot and switch to max settings.  Also, if you can't increase AA, try setting your screen resolution to maximum and then resize in a picture editor.  The editor will smooth out the lines.

How many times....DO NOT SET TO MAX SETTINGS JUST FOR ONE SHOT!  I don't know how many times I've heard people say this nor can I stress enough how bad it is.  Setting to max settings does not guarantee good graphics.  You get better graphics when you set the settings to the optimal for your computer.  You need to play with the settings until you get the sort of holy grail for your system, the perfect settings that yield about 20 FPS and good graphics.

Now regarding screen resolution and AA< that is true, you should always run in the native resolution of you're monitor, which usually is higher than most people set it too.  When you are at a higher resolution and resize to a lower one jaggies are usually done away with.

Well, as said, nicely set up, AA horror... the method Immelman states is used by many people, including me in times past, Eno when he was 'starting out' as a green screenshooter, and probably 90% of people now posting FSX shots  ;)

Jake is right of course, but until you get your comp tweaked or probably better, upgraded (amazing what money can do ) then the old 'pump up the settings' trick can bring good results.
