ok here's my most recent one. i really liked as a 1600, but the resize and compression absolutely murdered it.

i just started working with bluring partially visible layers in photoshop, and thought it was really cool, but it didn't really show through at this size...

Suggestions/Constructive critism Welcome!

looks good, but my suggestions improvements would be

1.never work at a larger size than the final version is going to be, this makes it alot easier for you to get the desired effect
2. the blur looks slightly overdone, try only bluring certain aspects of the shot.

It's always best to work at a higher resolution, otherwise you don't have as much freedom afterwards. I certainly wouldn't want to create all my pictures at 800x600 just so I could post them on forums.

Really? How's that then? I always edit my photos at full size and go from there, can't see why screenies should be different...

i can see the logic in what sgt. donut meant.
if you use, for example, grain, (as i did) resizing messes it all up.
its the same with blurring, lighting etc.
