Not sure wether this is the place to post this but if its not then please feel free to move it mods.

Now the question....

I have/am downloading all the voz packs at the moment, to improve my Aussie scenery, will it make any difference to have the SimV mesh files as well, or is it better just to use the voz packs?

Answers on a postcard please :D

I have now installed all of the voz packages to bring them up-to-date and the switcher doesn't work, each time i try it i get an application error.  If i just add the addon scenery files in game will this do the trick, or do i still need to get the switcher to work?

Stuart, Krigl is definately the one you need to speak to. In the meantime try this site, it has all the Voz tutorials you need..http://vistaoz.org/

This type of question would be perfect to ask at the "Tech Talk" module here at StudioV. Working hard on getting things underway...as we speak... ;)

Okay, here I am... :)

Well, I know the answer to your first question.... the Voz files don't contain any mesh, so you should have no problems with SimV mesh and in fact good mesh will make your OZ experience even better, as with any part of the world. I'm using the mesh by Andy Weir (from ***i* for the whole of Oz. It's an enormous file. I'm not sure what the LOD is and if it is better than the SimV mesh, but if you get into VOZ (providing you get it to work ;)) then you could at least check it out.

About the second problem: I'm about as technical as a bucket of custard so all I can think of is that you don't have the Microsoft.net framework thingy installed. Without it the switcher doesn't work, I've tried it. You need version 1.1 or 2.0, doesn't matter which. There's a link to it on the VOZ site, I think. If you have Microsoft.net 1.1 or 2.0, then, sorry, I can't help more. Best would be to join the VOZ forums - takes about 2 minutes to register - and try their dedicated support forum. You could check out the full version of my VOZ tour there too, if you like... in glorious up-to-200kb/pic size, 15 shots a post ;)

Oh- of course, another possibility is that you have a corrupted download. It would be best just to install VOZ 1.1 to start with, then add the update patches once you've seen VOZ 1.1 works. Saves time. Also, you need to add the VOZ landclass, scenery and something else in your add-on scenery library, as directed in the VOZ Manual. If you haven't done that yet then the switcher might not work either....

Hope this was slightly helpful, Stuart, and thanks for your touching faith in me, Clipper ;D

Problem solved it was the .net framework, i used to have it installed, but i did i complete windows reinstall shortly before christmas, and then when i download voz i forgot about it.

Another great bit of business by the Studio, provided me with a quick fix to solve my problem :D
