Once again a little late

, had a really tough dcision to make this week
I eventually chose this shot by Flymo, in his thread
Searching For a Missing Expedition. I chose it as it gives you that sense of being there, climbing out of a small airport in horrible weather because its your job.

Congatulations Flymo!

Interesting choice here mic. I think it's a great example of the importance of having something "going on" in a pic. The overall scenery (mountains, clouds etc.) don't have to be perfectly detailed, as the pic offers a very dramatic scenario, and, combined with rich color and an very interesting aircraft, more than make up for it. Nice find and congrats Flymo.

The treeline, showing the height, and the wonderful detail on the skids really make this picture for me.... it's a good one! Shame the intrepid explorers didn't get to see it

Very cool shot John! I really like this and Krigl is right, the details in the trees are magnificent

Keep 'em coming!
