Is there any way to show the feeling of speed in a screenshot from FS9? i myself havent gotten one yet without photoshopping it. But I want to be able to get the the feeling of speed from the game, not a photo editor.

I'm confused with the whole concept

the concept is to provide help to people willing to improve their screenshot "artisticwise". by either providing tips, workshops with a theme for everybody to work one, tutorials, etc...

it's also a place were one can display his best shots, edits, photos, through his own gallery...

that's all of that... and a very friendly place to stay at...

for your problem, show us waht you want to achieve, and we may give you some hints. but the angle and some rain may help to induce the "feeling" of speed. the whole thing is you're trying to induce a feeling, and that's not easy...

My attempt at "speed"
Its got a bit of editing done to it

the shots are raw shots: no edit allowed...

without editing the shot you won't be able to have any blur, like having the background blurred and the A/C crisp to give that feeling of speed.

there is very few you can do without editing...
-the rain/snow clearly show motion. that's your best friend for speed feeling....
-the type of aircraft you use may or may not inspire speed, the ford trimotor is a rather slow aircraft... not the best... or it just make it more difficult....
-the angle you use is your second best friend. you may D/L the recorder module, if not yet. It is a really usefull utility which allow you to place the camera in any position, and to offcenter the A/C in your shot.
-if your A/C fly from the left to the right on your screen, offcenter it to the left of the picture. it give the motion feeling.
-with the recorder module you can move the camera with the aircraft which allow you to have the horizon line not horizontal (... ...) hence inducing motion/action, and giving that feeling your are looking for...

here are few hints...

I think TS first try at a speedy shot is pretty good, but I don't like the blur effect ...

But to give it a real speedy feel try this kind of weather setting with that red DeHaviland Comet which too is a default FS9 aircraft. And try the Recorder Module, which you get at www.neusinger.net/recorder.

Try some different angles and zooms ... you'll be amazed what you can come up with. And show us how you did ... please post a few shots in here ...

EDIT: For the best speed effect shoot the aircraft from a front or back angle. Don't shot too much of the profile of the aircraft? Why? Look here or here and you'll get the idea

I know what its for, but what do you press to get "X" view
