Judging by the last pic, I'd say you're of to a great start. I haven't had much experience with it as yet, but I'm sure you're heading in the right direction.. :)

By pressing alt a thousand times, every time you want to change the slightest thing.

You should try to use it in VC mode ... wait and see what that does  :o ;)
