I give it a sturdy 7, you could have waited for the textures to load a little bit more at the top, although the clouds are nice.

Too bad about compression.....it really killed this pic.

5/10. There isn't really much happening in this one but the scenery is (mostly) decent.

6/10 Nice pic if you look at each element seperately. Nice aircraft, decent scenery, neat cumulus....but what you may have wanted to do is bring everything to-gether so each seperate element becomes an important part of the whole scene. There could be more harmony to all the different elements, they should use each other to create a story, a theme, or maybe just a "raison d'etre"..(reason for being) As well, i've always felt that aircraft shown in a pic should be quite close to the viewer and usually the primary focus of the screenshot. When all the principal elements of a pic are far away from those looking at it, the pic tends to lose impact, meaning or drama. Not to say you need to zoom right up to the aircraft on every pic, but if your scenery and secondary focal points (clouds, bridges, AI) are typical and relatively lifeless, a wicked aircraft close up using a new and interesting angle or perspective will go a long way in transforming a typical pic into a great one... :)

4.5/10

- Boring aircraft (texture wise), there's nothing really catchy about it.

- Boring ground textures.

- Very dull colours.

- No real movement in the shot.

The only really nice thing about this shot, in my opinon, is the very detailed airbase.

Ecko, why don't you include a few suggestions as to how he could improve his shot...(part two of his thread title)  ;)

Sure. :)

- Pump up the colours! You could for example have used this paint, or one similar:

[It's the same aircraft, actually the very same model]

- You could've gotten some sky in there, with some clouds, that's always good, that would've given the shot some contrast too.

- Also, give the aircraft some movement, example; the shot above.

- I really don't like those ground textures, if you like em', keep em', but in my opinion they don't look good, in screenshots at least.
