What To Improve?

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Tue Aug 01, 2006 3:01 pm

Okay...since I really love this Studio...I'll start off by posting my "debut" shot here...Fire away and tell me what I could've done to improve this shot...as everyone knows, I am not that great at the art side of screens... ::)

First of all you're great in screens!

The only real things I can see wrong in the pic is how slim the main body looks in ration to the elevated parts + I don't like the reflection on the nose part

I would've changed to a KLM skin ;D ;D ;D

I don't know what you should do to improve the shot but I wouldn't have used such a steep bank angle. I think a 747 can't take that much stress on her hull but then again ... I don't know. It looks like that to me.

But the image is crisp and there is a lot to see. But still I would've used a more colorfull skin. There's a lot of white in this shot ... but still it is a very nice shot!

EDIT: Coming to think of it a KLM skin wouldn't look that bad in this shot ...

Your pics are usually great Ashar, so cut it out with the I'm - crap - at - screenshots nonsense already  ;)  :D

This is one of your weaker efforts though, probably due to the angle - without wings it looks a little like a Galapagos tortoise sticking its neck out.... but still, nice and crisp  :)

Like someone else already mentioned, the 747 should really be deplicted in a 'calmer' manner...

...also, I'd choose a differen't back drop and time of day to go with that paint. When I think of the UAE, I think of sand and oil...perhaps the last thing that come to mind is the European countryside... ::)

...and lastly, show more dimentions to the aircraft. Show the 90o angles between the wings and the fuelslodge...

...right know, it sorta look like a giant male bodypart to me :P

heh...

All and all, those are just suggestions on how to make an already fantastic shot even better ;)

The pic, although superb in its detail, is somewhat on the one dimesional side. The aircraft choice is great, the scenery sharp and realistic, clouds check in as being natural...it just lacks....maybe it lacks a reason for being. Know what I mean? I'd like to see more drama, or more interesting things to see in the shot.  It really is a nice shot, but it wouldn't hold my interest for too long.    :)

Quite a big gap of 'nothing' at the bottom of the shot. If you are to elevate the aircraft in the frame, it's best to make sure there's something filling the gap! Another focus point, if you will.
