[size=18][font=times]Ahh..the fine art of screenshot editing. It's something too few of us try. If you'd like to try your hand at it, in the context of a friendly competition, now's the time! The object here is to make a copy of the screenshot you see below and then edit it as best you can. You can use Photoshop, Irfanview, any editing process you like. All entries will be put to a poll here at our Studio V next Friday July 27th, then we all vote. The winning edit goes into our Studio V Gallery.

Decided to go for a different feeling with this one. Rather than carry on with the speedy, "action-y" look the original had, I tried to go with a more ominous, desolate look, as though the pilot was on a very frightening, yet lonely patrol.

Guys remember,
If you use the thumbnail option, your image that you link to can be full screen, meaning 1024X768!  ;)

The reason for the forum rules of 800 wide is so the pages are easy to read.

Unfortunately, with an image of 800 wide to start with, it means you can't really do a picture of 1024 wide, as the plane would be too small (though, in mine, this wouldn't be a problem). My edit was done at 800x600.

Perhaps a suggestion for next time would be to provide a larger image.

One drawback though, with the 100kb upload limit, compression would be much more evident at 1024x***, and so it really wouldn't look too good. Is linking to an image hosting site (such as Photobucket) permitted, with a thumbnail uploaded to SimV?

The original was captured at 1600 X 1200
I got it down to 1024 X 768 and under 100kb.
I can't see anything really bad at this resolution.
note: If you run your sim at 1600 like I do, you will need to drop down to 1024 to post as Explorer will "compress & distort" higher that 1024.
