OK a small guide for making historically correct screenshots.

So you feel the desire to take that DC-8 or other vintage jet out for a screenshot session...
Chances are that you will face the decision where to take the screenshots... with a neutral background or someplace where the machine has a fitting backdrop

Sure you can do some nice 'old-and-new' shots, with the Saha 707 at Dubai, but in general, going for that kind of shots restricts you to a handful of airlines.

Anyway, here's a small guide for taking shots where vintage planes DO fit in... (shots arent the best ones around but just for giving an idea how to work around the issue)

Shot 1
Image
Just a basic composition, all aircraft in the same scheme.
All the planes in the shot are from the same time period

Shot 2
Image
High contrast!!
Despite the odd combination, it still is a plausible situation, although a Polar Directorate Il-18 wont be showing up in Rostov-na-Donu everyday.

Shot 3
Image
NOT a plausible shot (see the Hawker bizjet clearly recognisable at the end of the row?)

Shot 4
Image
This one is already a lot better than the previous one, with the offending bizjet far enough away to miss it on first sight.

And the list of planes / flightplans / scenery used...
AI (most from avsim.ru):
CIS AI Project An-24B and AN-24RV
SimLandmarks Tu-154M, Il-86 and Yak-40
Sergei Carr Tu-154B (v3)

Flightplans: Aeroflot 1991 vintage (avsim.ru)

Flyable plane: Il-18 by Pavel Hvatkin with FS9 updates

Scenery:
Koltsovo and Tolmachevo by UNNT Team
Rostov-na-Donu from russia.simflight.com

Great, great tutorial Ivan. I'm sure it'll come in handy for any of us that want to go for that totally realistic feel in our vintage pics. Bravo!  :) Wicked shot quality as well.  :)
